My sister gave birth to a baby boy at approx 10.01am. I understand mother and baby are doing well, but I haven't seen either yet. He weighs (we think) 7lb 10oz. Hopefully I can go and visit when I finish work - what a relief!

Congratulations! I'm so glad everything went well. I agree with you that it isn't fair that the hospital don't admit people as soon as they realise they are in labour.
I live about 5 minutes away from our hospital and someone I went to school with lives slightly closer. When she was in labour like your sister she went to the hospital but was sent back home. Only to end up having her baby at home! I'm glad that didn't happen to your sis though.
I can't wait to hear more about him. It will also make you realise how tiny Leah was too
